Christmas 2007: Getting Into The Ghoultide Spirit

I was looking for fun in all the wrong places, and all the time it was here on Dec 23rd. As much as I love listening to the doorbells in “Getting into the Ghoultide Spirit,” isn’t this a bit like regifting? But I am a spoiled rotten, Buzz Corey-era astronaut. There are no interruptions, as with NPR fund-raisers, so I won’t look a gift horse, perhaps a zombie gift horse, in the mouth. The Holiday ‘Strike’ was like a seven-ten split, but I’ve seen them picked up, followed by more beers all around!
Belated Holiday Stuff, start a roaring fire in the fireplace (if you have one), and replay any of Andy Williams’ “Andy Williams Family Christmas Special,” without Claudine’s gun, of course, or Clark Griswold’s rant upon receiving his Christmas non-bonus. Where’s the Tylenol?
I know what you mean, James. ZA has been extremely busy, and I can only imagine that the holidays didn’t help much. Christmas really crept up on us this year and by the time we realized that Funky Christmas was upon us, it was too late! We’ve got vampires to fight in Slumgullia. We’ve got to finish unpacking Von Martinez’ lab in Castle Despicable. We’ve got to build a device that will allow us to translate David Lee Roth’s screeching. It’s quite hectic over here.
I know what you mean, though, Jim. These old episodes may not be the best gift we could have given, but at least we didn’t give you socks!
I hope you had a happy holiday and that you’ll bear with us while we get our stuff together.
